Adam Thomas has admitted the full I'm A Celebrity row with Jimmy Bullard 'probably couldn't be aired' and revealed that moments were cut from the show released to the public.
The Emmerdale star took to social media to share snaps of his best moments on the ITV reality competition show, paying tribute to campmates including Mo Farah and Scarlett Moffatt. Reflecting on his time ahead of tonight's live final, he spoke openly about comments made by campmates after his row with Jimmy Bullard.
'We got to the final…' began the post. 'Spending time in camp with these incredible people has been nothing short of a privilege. From listening to Harry's stories, to Craig's poems, to Mo's unreal cooking, and Scarlett's love for life, every moment brought something special. They truly kept the spirit of camp alive, and I'll forever be grateful for the memories we've shared.'
He added crucially: 'I know a lot of my time in camp, which has been aired recently, has been drama, but there was so much more… so many laughs and so much love and warmth. But I have to say, I've seen some comments going around about things that some of my fellow campmates said during the row between me and Jimmy, and I just want to make one thing clear, I completely stand by them. Not everything was shown, and honestly, a lot of it probably couldn't be aired anyway. I'll hold my hands up to that. So I understand where they were coming from, and I respect their honesty.'
He then added that he didn't want fans to direct any negativity towards his campmates, saying living alongside them in camp was a 'pleasure'. 'It's genuinely disappointing to see any negativity directed their way because they don't deserve it. They are some of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Being in the final alongside them is a real honour. I've got nothing but respect for these people, and if anyone deserves to win this, it's them. They have my vote x'
He concluded: 'Last but not least, Scarlett has been absolutely amazing. She's been such a huge part of keeping the camp going with her beautiful personality, always lifting spirits, bringing energy, and making everyone feel at home. It's sad she didn't make the final because she truly deserves it. What a woman she is, inside and out, and I'm so proud to call her a friend x Roll on the final gentleman x.'
In the tense episode, Adam was left fuming as Jimmy pulled out of a Bushtucker Trial. He raged: 'Are you f***ing taking the p*ss? Are you taking the p*ss?' as their places in the show were on the line. During the episode, campmates were paired for a trial called the Rancid Run. One of the pairs retrieved cogs from an abacus using just their tongue before passing them to their partner. The last team to get all five cogs was warned they'd be eliminated from the show.
The final tonight will see Scarlett Moffatt, Mo Farah, Harry Redknapp, Adam Thomas and Craig Charles tackling the Cyclone, a brutal water-based assault course that may be their hardest challenge yet. The final of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here airs at 9pm tonight on ITV and ITVX.
