Disney+ has released a new murder mystery series, 'If It's Tuesday, It's Murder', which is proving popular with fans of Agatha Christie. The show, set in Lisbon, Portugal, follows a group of Spanish tourists whose holiday takes a dark turn when one of them is murdered on the first day.
The seven-episode series, originally produced in Spanish, can be watched with English dubbing or subtitles. It stars Álex García, Inma Cuesta, Ana Wagener, Pedro Casablanc and Biel Montoro. The show has an IMDb score of 6.4 out of ten.
Critics have given mixed but generally positive reviews. The Guardian called it a 'breezy crime-fighting adventure' despite its 'ludicrous' premise. Hello Magazine described it as a 'cosy crime' drama, while the Daily Mail said it was 'fun to watch'. The series is particularly recommended for fans of 'Only Murders In The Building'.
For those wanting more mystery, Netflix's 'Marple' series has recently topped its charts. The show, which aired from 2004 to 2014, features Geraldine McEwan and Julia McKenzie as Miss Marple. It includes guest appearances from Joanna Lumley, Benedict Cumberbatch, Timothy Dalton, and others.
'If It's Tuesday, It's Murder' is available to stream now on Disney+, while 'Marple' is available on Netflix.
