Robert Aramayo's Hidden Gem Netflix Show Before Bafta Win

Hull-born actor Robert Aramayo recently won the best actor award at the BAFTA Awards, beating Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio. He earned the accolade for his role in I Swear, where he portrays real-life Tourette's campaigner John Davidson.

Years before his BAFTA win, Aramayo starred in a hidden gem Netflix series called Behind Her Eyes. The six-part thriller, released in 2021, follows single mum Louise (Simona Brown) who has an affair with her boss David (Tom Bateman). After meeting David's wife Adele (Eve Hewson), Louise discovers their relationship is not what it seems.

Aramayo plays the mysterious Rob Hoyle, an old friend of Adele's. The true nature of their relationship unfolds as the series progresses. The show is based on the 2017 novel by Sarah Pinborough and holds a 60% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics scoring it 63%.
