Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been issued a withering putdown by Queen Camilla after appearing to quietly back Earl Spencer's new memoir, reports suggest. The Queen sees a telling silence from the Sussex camp over Earl Spencer's book, which contains explosive claims about King Charles, as an act of "absolute duplicitousness", according to the National Examiner.
Royal Welcome Overlooked
A source told the publication that Charles and Camilla had been making an effort to "graciously welcome" Harry and Meghan back to Britain and "turn the other cheek" before their failure to defend the monarch. Buckingham Palace has strongly pushed back at claims that just days after Diana's death in 1997, Charles told her brother "rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough".

A Palace spokesperson said: "While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgement and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss."
Earl Spencer told People Magazine that Harry was "completely fine" with the memoir shortly before its release.
