Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have announced the birth of their third child, a daughter, born on Monday evening at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby weighed 6lb 9oz.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the news on Tuesday, stating: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday August 3 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.”
The statement added: “Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of the royal family were delighted to be informed of the news.”
Family joy
The couple, who married in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in October 2018, already have two sons: August, born February 9 2021, and Ernest, born May 30 2023. Eugenie shared her excitement on Instagram, writing: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
The new arrival is 15th in line to the throne and the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The baby is also the fifth grandchild of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, following the birth of Princess Beatrice’s daughter Athena Mapelli Mozzi in January last year.
Earlier this year, Eugenie confirmed her pregnancy on social media, sharing a photo of her sons holding a baby scan. Buckingham Palace then announced the couple were expecting their third child due in the summer.
