Meghan Markle Teases New As Ever Drop Amid Website Stock Glitch
Meghan's As Ever teases product as website bug reveals stock

The Duchess of Sussex has sparked anticipation among her followers with a cryptic teaser for an upcoming product launch from her lifestyle brand, As Ever. Meghan Markle used the brand's Instagram to post a picture of a blank journal with a black leather bookmark inside, captioned: 'For the chapters you want to savor most... 1.13.26.'.

Website Glitch Reveals Vast Inventory Figures

The teaser comes in the wake of an online incident where a bug on the As Ever website allowed users to uncover precise stock numbers for the entire collection. By attempting to add abnormally large quantities to their shopping baskets, internet sleuths prompted the site to reveal maximum available stock.

According to the figures exposed, the inventory levels were substantial. Over 572,000 lifestyle items, including spreads, teas, and candles, and more than 77,000 bottles of wine were reportedly listed as available. One product, the Signature Fruit Spread Box, showed 137,465 units in stock.

However, sources cited by The Sun suggest this was the remainder from an initial order of one million jars. With the spread box retailing at £31, this single product line could have generated approximately £26.7 million in sales. 'I think it’s fair to say business isn’t just successful, it’s flying off the shelf,' a source commented.

New Product Launch and Security for UK Return

The new product drop, hinted at with a 'save the date' note, is scheduled for 9am PT on January 13, which is 5pm in the UK. This will be the brand's first release of 2025, ahead of its first anniversary in April. Following the bug, the As Ever website has implemented purchase limits and removed the exploit.

Separately, it is reported that Meghan Markle is planning a potential return to Britain this summer for the first time in four years. The Duchess is expected to join Prince Harry at an Invictus Games event in Birmingham in July, contingent on approved security arrangements for the couple. Her proposed visit aligns with a one-year countdown event for the 2027 Games on July 10.

Brand Response and Future Prospects

As Ever has not publicly commented on the website bug or the inventory figures. The brand, which promotes 'small-batch' pantry favourites, has now capped purchases to a maximum of 50 spread gift boxes or 20 bottles of wine per order. Those attempting to bulk-buy are met with an error message stating the quantity exceeds available stock.

The dual narratives of a thriving product launch and logistical website revelations paint a complex picture for the fledgling brand as it approaches its first anniversary, all while its founder navigates the possibility of a closely watched return to the UK.
