Meghan Markle has "no chance" of ever reconciling with the Royal Family after her "despicable" attacks against them, a royal commentator has claimed. The Duchess of Sussex has been estranged from her royal in-laws since her departure from the Firm six years ago.

Prince Harry's wife has spoken extensively about her struggles as a working member of the Royal Family in a series of interviews and her Netflix docuseries with her husband. Harry's memoir, Spare, also contains various claims involving his wife against the royals.
The Sussex couple's move to the UK this year has sparked hope of a possible path to reconciliation in the future.
Commentator's verdict
Lee Cohen, a US-based columnist as well as a royal and foreign policy commentator, told the Daily Express: "She [Meghan Markle] brought endless drama, grievance and attention-seeking to an institution built on duty, discretion and service, casting a shadow over the final years of the beloved late Queen.
"Another chance? The only thing she deserves is permanent exile from the family she insulted so despicably."
Oprah interview revelations
During her interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Meghan declared that "she didn't want to be alive anymore" during her short royal tenure. The duchess claimed that she felt unprotected from the tabloids by the Firm.
She said: "It was all happening just because I was breathing.
"I just didn't want to be alive any more. That was a clear, real, frightening and constant thought."
