Meghan Markle made a subtle tribute to her husband, Prince Harry, in a new set of photographs shared on social media this week. The Duchess of Sussex was pictured wearing a black cap embellished with “PH 40”, a nod to Prince Harry’s 40th birthday.
New photos from UK trip
Meghan’s best friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, posted the photographs from her trip to the UK to see the duchess. The post included pictures of both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In one image, Meghan is seen playing a board game with Zajfen and another close friend, Soho House’s Marcus Anderson. The duchess wore black leggings, a black casual jacket and the black cap.
Cap’s significance
According to People magazine, the cap dates back to Harry’s milestone 40th birthday in September 2024, when Meghan had the hats made as part of the celebrations. In her social media message, Zajfen wrote: “UK you’ve been so good to us. We’re leaving with full hearts and definitely leaving a piece of ours here.”
“To everyone we’ve met or bumped into, thank you for being so loving to my friend. It’s been beautiful to witness. She missed you too.”
