Meghan Markle reveals dessert response for Archie and Lilibet

Meghan Markle has revealed what she tells her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, when they ask for dessert. The 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex appeared on Masterchef Australia last weekend, where she shared her parenting approach to sweets.

Meghan Markle's Dessert Rule

During the show, filmed during her visit to Australia in April, Meghan described Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, as "great eaters." She disclosed that the children are fans of brussels sprouts, a surprising vegetable for many kids. However, like most children, they also love to ask for a treat after dinner.

Meghan explained her response: "If they say, 'Mama, can I have dessert?' We say, 'If you can pick it, you can have it'." This approach ties into her passion for growing her own fruit and vegetables, which aligns with her brand As Ever. She did not specify which fruits Archie and Lilibet prefer, but the rule encourages them to eat fresh produce.

New Video Teases Sweet Arrival

On Tuesday, July 28, Meghan shared a video on As Ever's Instagram account teasing "something sweet is arriving soon." The clip, seemingly filmed in a garden at or near her Montecito home, shows Meghan picking berries while wearing white shorts, a blue shirt, and a large wide-brim straw hat. The caption read: "A taste of late summer is almost here [white-heart emoji] Something sweet is arriving soon."

Meghan launched As Ever last year, coinciding with the release of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. Since then, the brand has released multiple products.
