Lady Helen Taylor Steps Out for Royal Marsden Charity Launch
Lady Helen Taylor Attends Ever After Garden Launch

A rarely seen member of the extended Royal Family made a public appearance in London this week, attending an engagement tied to a cause with deep personal connections to both her family and the Princess of Wales.

Lady Helen Taylor, daughter of the late Duchess of Kent, attended the launch of the Ever After Garden 2026 at Duke of York Square in Chelsea on Wednesday, November 4. The event was held in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, an organisation Lady Helen has long championed.

Low-Key Elegance for Autumn Evening

For the autumn evening occasion, the royal opted for a subdued yet elegant look, wearing an oversized grey winter coat layered over a knitted jumper and a crisp white collared shirt.

The Royal Marsden holds particular significance for Lady Helen. She serves as a trustee for the charity following her husband Timothy Taylor's battle with cancer.

Personal Connection to Cancer Care

Timothy was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, a form of blood cancer, in 1998. He successfully underwent chemotherapy at London's Royal Marsden Hospital at the age of 39.

The renowned cancer hospital also holds significant personal meaning for the Prince and Princess of Wales. William and Catherine took on joint patronage of the Foundation Trust in January 2025, following the princess's own preventative chemotherapy treatment at the London facility.

Garden Created in Memory

The Ever After Garden, which Lady Helen visited this week, was created in 2019 by designer Dame Anya Hindmarch and fashion writer Camilla Morton. It was established following the loss of their friend, the late production designer Michael Howells, who was also a trustee of the Royal Marsden.

This latest engagement marks Lady Helen's second public appearance in just a matter of weeks. In October, the royal was joined by her two sons, Columbus Taylor, 32, and Cassius Taylor, 29, for the Frieze Art Fair 2026 VIP Preview.

The trio posed together for photos at Regent's Park, where Lady Helen was seen smiling alongside her boys in a black ensemble paired with a black-and-white checkered scarf. Columbus and Cassius are the eldest of Helen and Timothy's four children. The couple also share two daughters, Eloise and Estella Taylor.

In September, Helen and Timothy were pictured attending the opening ceremony and reception to celebrate the landmark exhibition Reviving Craft: Reflection of the Mind at Somerset House.
