Kate Middleton's Former Right-Hand Woman Fuels Speculation with Enigmatic Social Media Message
Natasha Archer, the former personal assistant to the Princess of Wales, has ignited a wave of curiosity with a cryptic post on her Instagram account. Archer, who dedicated 15 years to working within Prince William and Kate's household, recently shared a teaser that simply reads 'Coming soon' alongside the date '02.04.26'. This move comes after her departure from the royal couple's service last year, where she announced plans to establish her own private consultancy.
A Trusted Confidante and Stylist
During her tenure, Natasha Archer rose from a personal assistant to the senior private executive assistant, becoming an integral part of the Waleses' inner circle. She was notably present at St Mary's Hospital in 2013, assisting Kate by delivering an outfit and baby seat just before the birth of Prince George. More recently, she was photographed driving away from the London Clinic in January 2024 with a car full of flowers following Kate's discharge after major abdominal surgery.
Beyond administrative duties, Archer was widely recognized as Kate's unofficial stylist, wielding significant influence over the Princess's fashion choices. She is credited with helping Kate emerge as a prominent wearer of designers like Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham, sparking the 'Kate Middleton Effect' where items she wore would rapidly sell out. In a bold move, she even persuaded Prince William to wear a traditional sherwani to a 2019 reception in Pakistan.
Eco-Conscious Initiatives and Departure
Archer also collaborated with Kate on sustainability efforts, such as upscaling dresses and renting an outfit for the Earthshot Prize Awards in Boston in 2022. Her departure in July last year was met with well-wishes from the Prince and Princess of Wales, according to reports. Despite her exit, sources indicated that Kate, now confident in her style, has no plans to hire another stylist, preferring to personally select her engagement outfits.
The cryptic Instagram post has already garnered attention, with couture designer Phillipa Lepley, who has created dresses for Kate, responding with clapping emojis. As Archer's new venture remains shrouded in mystery, followers and royal watchers alike are eagerly awaiting the April 2nd reveal, marking a new chapter for this influential former royal aide.
