Harry's UK return 'best opportunity' to heal rift with William

Prince Harry's return to the UK has been described as the "best opportunity" to attempt to heal his ongoing feud with Prince William. The once-close brothers have been at loggerheads for a number of years, particularly since Harry and Meghan made the decision to stay away from royal duties in 2020.

William, 44, and Harry, 41, are not thought to have spoken since 2022. Now that they will both be in the same country, it has been described as the ideal time to try and mend their fractured relationship.

Source says move could help mend bridge

A source told PEOPLE: "It would never happen with him in America. This gives them opportunity to try and mend that bridge."

Harry's relationship with King Charles is said to be "better", but the same can't be said about William. Speaking back in July, a source told PEOPLE: "I thought it would have perhaps eased a little bit by now, to be honest. But there has been no movement, especially on William's side."

Meghan may keep low profile

The source describes William and Harry as currently having "no contact". An insider who spoke to the publication revealed that they think Meghan may try and keep a low profile when she returns to the UK. A source has said that, despite this, the public "will want to see them both".

New home and school plans

The BBC has recently reported that Harry and Meghan's new home could be in the Cotswolds and the Northampton area. The home would be close to the Spencer family estate. The couple stepped down from royal duties in early 2020, with the couple not set to return to duties when they return.

They have also enrolled Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet – now aged seven and five – into UK schools, with Meghan having "toured two schools" during their visit last month.
