Thousands of meticulously groomed pedigree dogs, primped to perfection, converged on the Birmingham NEC for the celebrated canine contest. This massive event, attracting approximately 150,000 visitors, will continue through Sunday evening, culminating in the crowning of one fortunate dog as the best in show.
Meeting dogs and their owners on the red carpet, the 54-year-old Ms Winkleman sported a vibrant green jacket emblazoned with the word 'DOGS' in bold white letters across the back, paired with leggings and luxurious £1,080 Bottega Veneta Lug leather ankle boots. Ahead of the big day, she enthusiastically remarked, 'I absolutely love dogs and there is literally nowhere else on Earth I'd rather be. I have a pocket rammed with treats.'
Amanda Holden Joins in Double-Denim Style
Ms Winkleman was accompanied by Amanda Holden, who made a fashion statement in a double-denim ensemble featuring the embroidered faces of her own dogs, Minni and Rudie, on the back. Throughout the competition, judges will meticulously evaluate dogs across various breed groups, including working, pastoral, and terrier categories, ensuring a thorough assessment of each canine's qualities.
