Amanda Holden Enlists Cat Behaviourist After Pet's 'Spiteful' Weeing

Amanda Holden has revealed she feels 'so guilty' as she seeks professional help for her cat Muffy's 'spiteful' behaviour. The 55-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge recently rescued a cat called Bolt from Corfu, and Muffy has been acting out ever since.

Speaking on Heart Breakfast, Holden explained that Muffy, her 16-year-old cat, has been weeing on the bed and even on her husband Chris Hughes. 'She weed on Chris the other day, she jumped on the bed and she weed all over him, full bladder,' Holden said. 'We know it's spite, we've got a proper cat behaviourist coming out.'

Holden said she has already tried two behaviourists without success, but a third is due next week. She described Muffy as having gone from 'a beautiful serene princess' to a cat that 'tears down the stairs like an Olympian' to attack Bolt. The family also has dogs Minnie and Rudy.

Holden said she no longer lets Muffy on the bed because she cannot be trusted. 'She's doing it out of spite, we Googled it because we ruled everything else out,' she added. Co-host Jamie Theakston described the cat as a 'nasty piece of work', but Holden defended her, calling her 'our absolute queen of the house'.

Holden rescued Bolt while filming her home renovation show with Alan Carr in Corfu. She named him because he is 'super quick' and can climb the six-foot fence at her Surrey home. Earlier this year, she shared on Instagram that Muffy was 'making her displeasure heard' about the new arrival.
