Icy Awakening in the Jungle
Television personality Vogue Williams provided one of the most memorable moments from Wednesday's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! when she decided to brave the camp's jungle shower. The 40-year-old stripped down to a striking red bikini, determined to freshen up despite the previous night's storm that had flooded the camp.
Showing off her incredibly toned figure in the matching two-piece, Vogue accessorised with a gold necklace and coordinating bracelets. However, her morning refreshment quickly turned into a shock as she encountered the freezing temperature of the water. Her reaction was immediate and vocal as she scrubbed herself clean, exclaiming loudly: 'Oh my God, that's so cold!'
Morning Espresso in the Bush Telegraph
Despite the initial shock, Vogue later explained her perspective in the Bush Telegraph confession cam. She revealed that the campmates have nicknamed the chilling experience their 'morning espresso' because of the incredible energy boost it provides. The model elaborated: 'That freezing cold shower hits differently on a wet, cold, kind of cloudy day. We call it our morning espresso because honestly, after you've done it it makes you feel amazing.'
Her campmate Kelly Brook, 46, who had her own jungle shower moment the previous week, certainly agreed with this assessment of it being the best way to start the day.
Rivals Challenge Showdown
Vogue's refreshing shower preceded what would become a challenging day ahead in the jungle. The episode revealed the results of the public vote for the new rivals segment, pairing celebrities against each other in competitive challenges.
The pairings were announced as follows:
- Lisa Riley versus Martin Kemp
- Kelly Brook versus Vogue Williams
- Eddie Kadi versus Jack Osbourne
- Ruby Wax versus Tom Read Wilson
- Aitch versus Angry Ginge
In the first round of challenges, Vogue emerged victorious against Kelly Brook in the 'Paint The Town' challenge, despite Kelly's initial reaction of gagging and exclaiming 'Oh no!' during the competition. Vogue's win meant she and other winners including Lisa Riley, Jack Osbourne, Ruby Wax, Alex and AngryGinge moved into the luxurious Win City camp with its purple theme, while the losing celebrities were relegated to Doomsville.
Jungle Shower Legacy Continues
The episode continued the programme's tradition of memorable jungle shower moments. Just last week, Kelly Brook had her own turn under the waterfall, taking a dip with campmates Shona McGarty and Alex Scott. The former glamour model, who had previously admitted to taking her 'pin-up' role seriously by having her bikinis screen-tested, wore a low-cut palm leaf design swimsuit.
Their aquatic fun was unfortunately cut short when they spotted leeches in the creek, prompting a hasty exit. Kelly later told the Bush Telegraph: 'We were seconds away from being covered in leeches and eaten alive. Oh my God! We just could not get out of that pool quick enough.'
While Vogue and Kelly found themselves as opponents in the challenges, one thing remained certain - both women looked absolutely incredible during their respective jungle shower moments, continuing the show's iconic tradition of combining survival with style in the Australian wilderness.
