Vicky Pattison has praised her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kai Widdrington for his continued support as she battles nerves ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2026 tour. The reality TV star and presenter, who was eliminated from the BBC One show in week eight, described Kai as 'holding her hand' through the experience.
In an Instagram post on the opening day of the tour, which begins at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on Friday, January 23, Vicky admitted she was feeling scared despite having danced live on television. She wrote: 'I honestly thought that I might have got a bit of a handle on my nerves after @bbcstrictly, dancing live every week in front of millions.. but this tour has brought all those familiar feelings back.'
Vicky, who was paired with Kai during the 2025 series, thanked him for his reassurance and hard work. 'He has held my hand, calmed me down and been the best partner a girl could ask for,' she said, adding that he came in early to rehearse when she felt unsure.
The tour features 30 shows across the country, with judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood, and host Janette Manrara. Vicky and Kai will perform alongside other celebrities and professionals, with audiences voting for their favourite couple.
Earlier, Vicky apologised to fans for being quiet on social media, citing nerves and intense rehearsals. She said: 'Sorry I've been quiet, we've been working super hard trying to make @strictlycomedancinglive the best possible show EVER!!!!'
