Vicky Pattison Addresses Confusion Over 'Odd' Strictly Exit Behaviour

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left puzzled after Vicky Pattison's unexpected absence from spin-off show It Takes Two following her elimination. The 38-year-old Geordie Shore star was voted off the BBC dance competition on Sunday alongside professional partner Kai Widdrington, 30, in an emotional send-off that left the studio in tears.

Traditionally, eliminated contestants appear on It Takes Two the following night for an interview and highlight reel. However, when fans tuned in on Monday, host Fleur East announced that Pattison and Widdrington could not be present but would join later in the week. Instead, the show featured other contestants, prompting confusion on social media.

Pattison later clarified the situation on Instagram, explaining she had been celebrating her birthday. She wrote: 'We'll be on It Takes Two on Wednesday to chat about our gorgeous journey, so sorry to anyone expecting to see us tonight… I've been celebrating my birthday in style.' A source told The Mirror that the BBC had pre-agreed to give Pattison time off for her birthday celebrations.
