Vanessa Feltz has revealed that Miss Piggy was the rudest guest she has ever interviewed, while Jeff Goldblum was her favourite. The broadcaster made the comments ahead of the launch of her new YouTube channel, At Home With Vanessa.
Favourite guest: Jeff Goldblum
Speaking on behalf of BetWright Casino, Feltz said of Goldblum: "Jeff Goldblum on The Big Breakfast Bed. Handsome, tall, gorgeous, irresistible, hilarious, great voice, brilliant dancer. He kept getting up off the bed every second to either do a painting or play the piano because he's a concert-level pianist."
She added: "He was dancing, he was singing, he was playing the piano, he was funny, he was sexy, he was absolutely gorgeous and I would have run away with him. Unfortunately, he didn't ask me, but he did ask me to a party that night to which I very stupidly took my then-husband. What an idiot."
Rudest guest: Miss Piggy
However, Feltz did not hold back when naming her least favourite guest. She said: "I would say Miss Piggy because she was so rude. Miss Piggy was a temperamental and rude character, but it was so funny because the puppeteer, Frank Oz, was the most charming person on earth. When he was Miss Piggy, not nice."
Miss Piggy is a Muppet character known for her breakout role in the sketch comedy television series The Muppet Show. She is notable for her temperamental diva superstar personality, her tendency to use French phrases in her speech, and practicing karate.
New YouTube show
Feltz, 64, has opened the front door to her home, which she affectionately calls Feltz Towers, where she has built her own studio for the new YouTube series. The first episode drops online today (Friday, August 14).
She said: "I hope At Home With Vanessa lends itself to a show that isn't just people sitting on a sofa looking very formal, talking about something in a very formal way. I hope it's kind of looser, more fun and more unpredictable than that."
She added: "There's going to be lots of behind the scenes and lots of what's going on while we're getting ready to show it. It's going to be a pacier, livelier, a bit more unexpected and a bit more unpredictable than the usual sort of chat show. That's what I'm hoping anyway."
At Home With Vanessa is available to watch on YouTube from Friday, August 17.
