Stephen Libby, the 32-year-old cyber security consultant from the Isle of Lewis who won the latest series of The Traitors alongside fellow traitor Rachel Duffy, has a famous friend in comedian Lou Sanders. The pair were crowned winners after splitting the £95,750 prize pot, taking home £47,875 each.
Throughout the series, Stephen posted reaction videos on social media, and eagle-eyed viewers spotted Lou Sanders in one clip, looking stunned as Stephen was revealed as a traitor. Lou, known for winning Taskmaster series 8 and appearing on Would I Lie to You? and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, is a close friend of Stephen and his actor partner Daniel Quirke.
Speculation that Lou might be Stephen's landlord was swiftly denied by Daniel, who confirmed she is simply a friend. Through Daniel, Stephen also knows actress Lydia West, star of It's a Sin and Big Mood.
Back on the Isle of Lewis, the community is celebrating Stephen's win. Jayne Macritchie, owner of the Blue Lobster cafe in Stornoway, which displays artwork by Stephen's father Donald, said the family is 'ecstatic'. She described Stephen as a 'lovely, happy chappy' who likely found the deceptive aspects of the show difficult, but praised his loyalty in sticking to his pact with Rachel.
