Traitors Star Jade Scott Reveals Heartbreaking Family Tragedy

Jade Scott, a contestant on the BBC game show The Traitors, has opened up about a devastating family tragedy during the latest episode. The 25-year-old Faithful revealed that her mother and sibling were found dead in 2018, leaving her co-stars in stunned silence.

Speaking during a dinner party scene aired on Friday night (January 16), Jade shared: 'My parents got divorced when I was seven. My mum moved back to Hong Kong. She had a kid, and then in 2018, they were both found dead. I've had to really rebuild myself from that point onwards.' She added that she is proud of how far she has come and hopes to one day own a home.

Jade, from the West Midlands, is one of the youngest contestants in Series 4 of The Traitors. She holds a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Warwick and is currently studying for a PhD. Alongside her studies, she co-founded a nutrition bar company called FEM with her partner, Sam Brown Light.

Despite playing as a Faithful from the start, Jade has faced repeated accusations of being a Traitor at the Round Table, including from former police detective Amanda Collier. However, she has managed to survive and remains in the game as it enters its final week.

Jade's partner, Sam, left his job to co-found FEM after meeting her in early 2025. On the company's website, he said: 'I'm proud to stand alongside a partner who's determined to change the world.' The Traitors continues Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
