Fans of The Traitors have taken to social media to mock the contestants for missing what they consider obvious clues that could have exposed the remaining traitors, Rachel and Stephen. Viewers believe the pair made a critical error that may cost them the game.
One fan on The Traitors UK subreddit pointed out that Stephen's murder of Jessie should have been a dead giveaway. Jessie had accused Stephen at the Round Table and vowed to continue targeting him. The fan argued that if Stephen were faithful, the traitors would have kept Jessie alive to focus suspicion on him. Therefore, Stephen's murder of Jessie was the only logical explanation.
Another clue fans highlighted was the behaviour of Fiona, a previously revealed traitor. Fiona had publicly accused Rachel of being a traitor, staking her game on it. When Fiona was exposed as a traitor, the faithful should have concluded that Rachel was also a traitor, as the accusation made no sense otherwise. Yet, the faithful ignored this obvious traitor-on-traitor behaviour.
Some fans also criticised Rachel and Stephen for not recruiting new traitors, calling it their 'biggest mistake'. Without recruitment, the faithfuls will likely deduce there are only two traitors left, making it nearly impossible for them to win together. However, others defended the strategy, noting that recruiting has historically backfired, as new traitors often betray the originals.
