The Traitors fans have been left gobsmacked after Faithful Matt made a never-before-seen offer to Traitors Rachel and Stephen during Tuesday's episode. The creative director, who had been under the radar, was given the opportunity to ask two questions to the remaining Traitors hidden behind the castle's confessional.
After learning they planned to murder Jessie, Matt proposed a deal: “I want you to turn down the seduction offer from Claudia, murder Jessie, and then seduce me next time. Do we have a deal?” He added, “I’m not a monster, I don’t want Jessie to die, but I came here to play the game.”
Viewers were stunned by the bold move, with one writing: “Matt has actually played a blinder cos he was so under the radar that none of us had a clue who he was and then BAM.” Another said: “I did NOT expect that from Matt oh my god.” A third added: “Matt using his second question to ask the Traitors to kill Jessie and recruit him has me gagged. This show is so iconic!”
The episode also saw Traitor Fiona banished after a chaotic feud with Rachel. The outcome of Matt's deal will be revealed on Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One. The Traitors is available on BBC iPlayer.
