The Traitors has issued a statement on family tree connections just hours before the final of the popular BBC series. Fans of the Claudia Winkleman programme have been speculating about hidden links between contestants, but host Ed Gamble revealed on spin-off show Uncloaked that there are no more undisclosed connections left.
It was previously revealed in the first episode that Judy and Roxy were mother and daughter, and faithful Ross was in a relationship with Ellie outside the show. Viewers have been trying to work out what other connections may be hiding in plain sight, but Ed confirmed there were only two secret links in the castle.
“Social media has been rife with speculation. Now we have a little Uncloaked exclusive for you. Here’s the moment our banished got to open that illusive second scroll. We promise you, there are no more undisclosed connections left,” Ed said, joking about his own family.
The final five contestants are traitor Stephen and faithfuls Jade, Faraz and Jack, with the final banishment left to the Chests of Chance after a cliffhanger episode. The Traitors final airs on BBC One and iPlayer at 8.30pm on Friday, January 23.
