The BBC's hit reality series The Traitors has seen its fifth contestant eliminated, with tensions rising among the remaining players. Host Claudia Winkleman returned for season two, selecting three initial Traitors: events coordinator Ash, army engineer Harry, and business manager Paul. They later recruited veterinary nurse Miles as a fourth Traitor.
Eliminations occur either by murder at the hands of the Traitors or by banishment via roundtable vote. The first to leave was Aubrey, a 67-year-old Faithful deemed too perceptive by the Traitors. His murder at breakfast shocked the group, with Harry suggesting it would throw others 'off their scent'.
Sonja, 66, was the first to be banished, revealing herself as a Faithful. The Traitors then murdered Kyra, who had been closely monitoring the Shields, sparking fan outrage. Brian was banished after becoming agitated over being labelled a 'sheep', also revealed as a Faithful.
Ash, an original Traitor, faced suspicion and was ultimately banished after fellow Traitors Paul and Harry voted against her to protect themselves. Her elimination marks the fifth departure, leaving the remaining contestants to navigate the deceit.
