The photo, originally posted in June 2024 by Damo's Personal Training in London, shows personal trainer Ross, 37, alongside fellow contestant Ellie, 33. In the image, Ross has his hand on Ellie's back, suggesting they knew each other before the show.
This discovery follows earlier speculation that the pair had interacted on LinkedIn and shared holiday photos from Tenerife last summer. On the show, Ross and Ellie have acted as strangers, but the evidence points to a prior relationship.
In the first episode, it was revealed that Ross already knew contestant Netty, having met through a mutual friend years ago. Executive producer Mike Cotton confirmed that Ross and Netty's connection was unintentional and discovered during background checks. He stated, 'It was not intentional at all, and we actually cast them as individuals.'
Cotton explained that producers found the pair followed each other on social media during lengthy vetting. 'We knew that there was a tenuous link, but we didn't know whether they were going to recognise each other or how they would react,' he said, adding that the producers found it interesting to see what it added to the game.
The Traitors has a history of contestants hiding connections, such as Alex and Tom's secret romance in season one and mother-daughter duo Roxy and Judy in season four. The nature of Ross and Ellie's relationship remains unclear, and viewers will have to watch future episodes to learn more.
