The Traitors contestant Sam has shared his biggest regret from the show after being banished during a tense roundtable on Thursday (15 January). The 34-year-old came under scrutiny when he chose to take a shield instead of adding money to the prize pot during a creepy cabin challenge.
Appearing on Lorraine on Friday (16 January), Sam admitted that his decision to protect himself from murder 'was my downfall'. He reflected: 'I wish I could just talk to myself in that moment and go, “don't grab it. It looks weird. Take a breath”. But I can't tell you how stressful that environment is in there and what it does to your head.'
Sam's banishment followed a series of tense confrontations at the roundtable, where fellow contestants questioned his motives. The shield choice ultimately sealed his fate, as it raised suspicions among the group.
