The confusion began when a TikTok video, posted by user @jackelsain, showed contestant Stephen Libby hosting a watch party for the show's fourth series premiere. The clip captured the moment his family and friends reacted with screams and applause as host Claudia Winkleman tapped Stephen on the shoulder, revealing him to be a Traitor in the opening episode.
However, eagle-eyed viewers quickly noticed that stand-up comedian, writer, and actress Lou Sanders was among the crowd. In the video, Sanders is seen covering her eyes in dramatic fashion as Stephen's fate is revealed, before joining in the applause.
Who is Lou Sanders and Why Was She There?
Lou Sanders is a familiar face on British television, having appeared on numerous panel shows, performed on Live at the Apollo, and won the eighth series of Taskmaster in 2019. Her unexpected presence at what appeared to be an intimate gathering of Stephen's loved ones prompted a flood of questions online.

The Traitors returned to BBC One for its highly anticipated fourth series on New Year's Day.
