Stephen Libby, the 32-year-old cyber security consultant who won the fourth series of BBC's The Traitors alongside Rachel Duffy, has revealed he has not yet received his share of the prize money. Appearing on Monday's This Morning, Stephen told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard that the £47,875 winnings have not landed in his account.
When asked by a viewer how many times he had checked his banking app since the final, Stephen admitted: 'It's not in there yet. But yeah, I'm not checking because I just want to get a nice surprise when it finally comes in.' He added that he had left his job, saying the money would allow him to 'survive for the next wee while.'
Stephen and Rachel, a 42-year-old director of communications from Newry, Northern Ireland, made history as the first pair of Traitors to win the game together. They were selected as Traitors from the start and formed a pact never to vote for each other, remaining loyal throughout the series. The pair split the £95,750 prize pot equally.
The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, follows 22 contestants—mostly Faithfuls—who try to identify the Traitors among them. The Traitors 'kill off' players at night, and the remaining contestants compete for a cash prize of up to £120,000. The final episode aired on Friday, and as is typical with game shows, winners are not paid until all episodes have been broadcast.
