Another contestant has been cut from The Great British Sewing Bee. Angie was eliminated during Tuesday's episode (July 28) after failing to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.
Week Three Challenges
The remaining sewers faced three tasks. First, they had to make three pairs of knickers from an old T-shirt in the Pattern Challenge. Next, they created a garment from items destined for landfill in the Transformation Challenge. Finally, they made a made-to-measure outfit with an environmental message.

Angie's Exit
As her name was announced, fellow contestants rushed to hug her, with one calling her 'amazing'. Speaking to the camera, Angie said: "It's been so special sharing this love of sewing with other like-minded people. I feel really fortunate." She added: "You'd think, having spent, you know, day after day sewing and planning sewing, that I'd want a rest. No, I'm going to make a coat, might make some trousers, might make a few more knickers. You know, loads." She issued a four-word remark before leaving: "Not going to stop."
Next Week's Mexican-Themed Episode
The show will celebrate Mexican fashion and textile traditions. The pattern challenge involves creating a folkloric top using fabrics from indigenous communities in Oaxaca. For the transformation, contestants will use a tablecloth to make a structured garment, and the final task requires a made-to-measure outfit inspired by Mexican festivals. Guest judge Erika Alvarez, a renowned fashion designer, will join the panel.
