Love Island star Scott van der Sluis has publicly criticised the show's narrator Iain Stirling in a social media outburst. The 22-year-old footballer took to Instagram to share snaps from the spin-off Love Island Games, captioning the post with an expletive-laden message directed at Stirling.
The apparent feud began after Stirling made a joke at van der Sluis's expense during the narration of Love Island Games. Van der Sluis, who appeared on the UK version of Love Island this summer and later on the US version, did not specify which comments provoked his reaction.
In a subsequent post, van der Sluis claimed that Stirling's joke had led to him being dropped from a planned appearance on Love Island Lithuania. Stirling, 35, narrates both the UK and US versions of the show.
Love Island Games, hosted by Maya Jama, brings together former contestants from various international versions of the dating show. The series is currently airing on Peacock in the US and will be available on ITVX in the UK.
