Scarlett Moffatt Hints at I'm A Celebrity South Africa Return on GMB
Scarlett Moffatt hints at I'm A Celebrity South Africa role

Former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here champion Scarlett Moffatt has sent fans into a frenzy after strongly suggesting she will be part of the show's highly anticipated South Africa spin-off.

Live TV Hint Sparks Speculation

The revelation came during a live interview on ITV's Good Morning Britain on 8th January 2026. When directly questioned by hosts about whether viewers would see her in the upcoming special series, Moffatt offered a coy and telling response.

"Well, I can neither confirm nor deny," she stated, before adding with a smile, "but what I will say is that the rumoured line-up look like an absolute party."

Presenters Take Hint as a 'Yes'

Co-presenter Richard Madeley was quick to pounce on her non-denial. Interpreting her evasive answer, he replied: "Well if you're not denying it, we're taking that as a yes."

Moffatt, a former GMB correspondent herself, deftly threw the question back, saying: "Well, Richard it's up to you." The playful exchange has been widely seen as a clear indication of her participation, though an official confirmation from ITV is still pending.

What is I'm A Celebrity... South Africa?

The spin-off series, which aired previously, brings back iconic contestants from the show's two-decade history for a second shot at the jungle – this time in a South African setting. The format sees the returning celebrities face a series of gruelling Bushtucker Trials in a bid to be crowned the ultimate legend.

Moffatt, who won the main series in 2016, is a fan favourite and her return would be a major coup for the production. Her hint has significantly ramped up excitement for the show's return, with fans on social media speculating about which other past stars might join her in the rumoured "absolute party" line-up.

With filming expected to commence soon, all eyes are now on ITV for an official announcement regarding the full cast for I'm A Celebrity... South Africa.
