Netflix announces new Sidemen show Outside with £1m prize

Netflix has announced a new reality show from YouTube group The Sidemen, titled Outside, in which a group of digital creators will be thrown into a forest to compete for a prize of up to £1 million.

The announcement was made at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Wednesday, August 26. The show follows the success of Inside, which recently returned for its third season on the streaming platform.

What to expect from Outside

Like Inside, contestants in the spin-off will be stripped of all luxuries and must pay for anything they need using money from the final prize pot. Every move they make can deduct a chunk from the winnings, which only the last standing players can take home.

According to an early synopsis: "Outside will see a new group of content creators thrown into the forest to battle for a prize of up to £1 million. With every comfort eating into the prize pot, they'll face brutal decisions, unpredictable challenges and plenty of Sidemen mischief as they fight to keep hold of the cash."

Cast and creators

Netflix has confirmed that the cast features major digital stars, including Gladiator Matt Morsia. He will appear alongside fellow creators TheBurntChip, Heinz Baines, Louis Russell, Paigey Cakey, Kaci Jay, Chloe Veitch, Moyo, Lacy, Sara Saffari, Yonna Jay and Dani Babes.

The Sidemen are made up of best friends Ethan Payne, Harry Lewis, Joshua Bradley, Simon Minter, Tobi Brown and Vikram Barn. The group is known worldwide for their entertainment empire, which includes gaming content and real-life charity football matches.

Milestone for Sidemen Productions

The forthcoming show marks a major milestone for The Sidemen and Sidemen Productions, which was launched at the start of 2026 in a bid to develop and scale premium formats built from the ground up by digital talent.

At the time of writing, The Sidemen have amassed over 8 billion views on YouTube alone and more than 23 million subscribers on their main channel.

Outside is coming to Netflix this autumn, and all seasons of Inside are available to stream now.
