Tim Curry, best known for playing Dr Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, has died at the age of 80. The actor passed away at his home in Los Angeles after a number of health issues in recent years.

Born in Cheshire, Curry began his career in London in the 1960s and found his first break in Hollywood in The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1975. His career spanned more than 50 years.

Throughout his career, Curry took on a number of film and TV roles, including starring alongside Macaulay Culkin as the pesky concierge in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Tributes have been paid to the actor following his death.
