My Strange Addiction Returns: Woman Snorts All Meals, Another Eats Raw Meat
My Strange Addiction: Woman Snorts Food, Another Eats Raw Meat

The new series of TLC's My Strange Addiction is set to return in January with a roster of jaw-dropping compulsions, headlined by a woman who has given up chewing entirely and instead snorts her liquefied meals through her nose.

From College Dare to Daily Ritual

Kathryn, from Virginia, abandoned traditional eating after a dare during her college years. She now blends every meal – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – and inhales the resulting mixture through her nostrils. Branded a 'serial food snorter,' she faces a significant personal hurdle as she prepares to confess her secret to her new boyfriend, Alex, in the upcoming episodes. Kathryn is unsure whether he will accept her unusual habit or be driven away by it.

Raw Meat Diet Sparks Disgust and Concern

Another contributor, Wendy from Florida, reveals her lifelong habit of consuming a staggering two pounds of raw meat every day. Her addiction comes to a head when she breaks the news to her fiancé's family at a barbecue, prompting immediate alarm over the serious health risks she has consistently ignored.

Her loved ones are horrified, with one branding the habit 'absolutely disgusting' and another stating, 'I'm about to throw up.' Despite Wendy's pleas for acceptance, her friends find it challenging, with one frankly telling her, 'it's a little hard to accept someone who eats raw meat.'

A Season of Extreme Compulsions

The premiere episode, launching in January, will showcase these two stories, and the season promises a wide array of other extraordinary addictions. These include:

  • Anthony, a performer whose love for theatre led him to eat several makeup products each week.
  • Carlos, who insists his daily habit of eating bugs is harmless, despite his partner's fears.
  • Sarah, a young woman whose relationship with an AI chatbot boyfriend strains her family ties.
  • Kaylyn, who copes with childhood grief by foraging and eating grass daily.
  • Socratis, a veteran who has filled his home with over a hundred snakes to help manage his PTSD.
  • Tajah, whose years of thumb-sucking have caused skin damage and derailed her dating life.

Viewers given a first look via a trailer have reacted with shock. One said, 'Snorting all of her food?! What the f***?', while another expressed curiosity about the root causes: 'There has to be a reason this happens to people I'm curious how and why.' Others voiced health concerns, with one predicting, 'Half of them are gonna die if they keep it up.'

Howard Lee, President of TLC, commented on the show's return, stating, 'Over the years, My Strange Addiction has built a passionate fan base that never stopped talking about it... The new season delivers everything people love about the series. It's bold, surprising, and completely unforgettable.'
