Mollie King, the former Strictly Come Dancing favourite and The Saturdays singer, will join her long-term partner, cricketer Stuart Broad, on Celebrity Gogglebox this Friday, July 9, at 9pm on Channel 4.
New Additions to the Show
The eighth series of the Channel 4 spin-off returned last month with familiar faces like Vernon Kay, Paddy McGuinness, Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, and Denise Van Outen with Johnny Vaughan. New additions include Olivia Attwood and her mum Jennifer, Gladiators stars Harry and Matt (Nitro and Legend), and now Mollie King and Stuart Broad.
Mollie and Stuart's Experience
Mollie, known for her stint on Strictly in 2017 where she partnered with AJ Pritchard and finished fifth, also co-hosts BBC Radio 1 with Matt Edmondson. She said: "Getting to do Celebrity Gogglebox with Stuart was such a lovely experience. Between juggling busy schedules, there's nothing I enjoy more than switching off together in front of the TV." Mollie added: "We had so many laughs filming it and, although I can't promise we agreed on every programme, we had the best time."
Stuart commented: "Celebrity Gogglebox was a genuinely enjoyable experience and a chance to show what Mollie and I are really like when the remote control is up for grabs. We had plenty of opinions, a few disagreements and a lot of laughs along the way."
Other New Faces
Other newcomers include Strictly star George Clarke and content creator Max Balegde, comedian Julian Clary, and actor Nigel Havers. George Clarke said: "I loved it, mainly because it gave me a full excuse to take the mick out of Max on national TV." Nigel Havers added: "It’s a dream come true working with Julian on Gogglebox. I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening… (Julian wrote this)."
