Love Island star Millie Court has candidly discussed the breakdown of her relationship with ex-partner Liam Reardon, hinting at the brutal reality of long-distance romance. The 29-year-old is set to return to screens for Love Island: All Stars, which begins on Monday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
Learning From Past Mistakes
Millie, who won the 2021 series of Love Island with Welsh bricklayer Liam Reardon, dated him on-and-off until their final split in September last year. Speaking to The Mirror and other press ahead of the new series, she strongly suggested the geographical distance between them proved insurmountable. When asked if she would date an international contestant, Millie stated firmly: "Only if they agree to move to London - I'm not moving!"
Reflecting on her first experience in the villa, where Liam was unfaithful during the Casa Amor twist, Millie acknowledged her personal growth. "I mean I'm 29 now, so I'd say I've definitely matured, grown up a bit," she said. "I won't take as sh** this time... But who knows? You know when you really like someone, sometimes they make a mistake... hopefully I won't take any s**t."
A New Approach to Finding Love
Determined to find a lasting relationship, Millie revealed she is consciously trying to break away from her usual physical preferences. "I feel like I've got a very specific type," she admitted, citing a preference for tall, bearded brunettes. "I think maybe that's not working. So maybe I need to switch it up a little bit. Give some other boys a try."
Her mission this time is far more serious. With her 30th birthday approaching this year, Millie confessed she is on the hunt for a life partner. "I am on the hunt to find my husband and someone who I can have kids with because I don't want another relationship that doesn't work out," she explained. "I want to find the one. So hopefully that happens."
Looking Forward to All Stars
Millie Court is one of several former islanders confirmed for the highly anticipated All Stars series. Armed with hard-learned lessons from her past and a clear vision for her future, she enters the villa with renewed purpose and stricter standards, hoping her second chance on reality TV leads to a first chance at forever.
