Meghan Markle Shares Holiday Snaps of Harry and Kids

Meghan Markle has shared a series of 'summer holiday' photos of Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet. From beach trips and wholesome family walks to swimming pool antics, the family-of-four appear to be having lots of fun together on holiday. Meghan did not confirm where they had been vacationing but one photo suggests it could have been in Portugal.

Instagram Post and Location Hints

Meghan shared a collection of photographs on her Instagram last night, captioning the post 'Summer Holiday [sun emoji]'. She shared an image of the front of a Portuguese fish restaurant, O Melidense, hinting at a possible location. Another picture is believed to show the family visiting Althorp, Princess Diana's childhood home. In the shot, Lilibet was seen walking through an avenue of trees and hedges, with Harry and Archie strolling together up ahead, appearing to hold bouquets.

Family Activities and Privacy

The family were seen having fun in the sea, enjoying sunset walks, and one photo showed Harry playfully tossing Lilibet through the air while in a swimming pool. Archie, who is seven years old, was seen in the cockpit of a plane wearing a pilot's hat, while three staff members surrounded him as he took a turn pretending to fly. None of the photographs showed Archie or Lilibet's faces, a move Meghan has made to protect their privacy.

Recent European Visit and Royal Accommodation Row

The family had been visiting Europe in recent weeks ahead of Prince Harry's return to the UK earlier this month to attend the Invictus Games. He had initially intended to bring Meghan and their two children with him, but Harry ended up flying to London solo. On Monday, hours before the Duke of Sussex arrived in his home country, a series of statements were released from the Sussex camp and the Palace, after Harry claimed he had accepted the monarch’s offer to stay in the London residence. However, within minutes, the Palace issued a statement saying the accommodation offer had been withdrawn as it was no longer feasible for Harry to stay. More statements from both Harry and the Palace were then issued, each defending their position in the royal accommodation row. In the end, it was revealed that during his few days in London, the Duke would be staying in private accommodation.
