McFadden and Duffy Join New I'm A Celeb Spin-Off

Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy have reportedly become the first stars to sign up for ITV's new I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! spin-off, titled The Wild Frontier. According to sources, the Westlife singer, 46, and Boyzone star, 51, have agreed to participate in the show, which will be filmed in Canada and is expected to air in 2027 as part of celebrations marking 25 years of the original series.

New Format with Celebrity Pairs

Unlike the Australian version, The Wild Frontier will feature celebrities competing in pairs. Friends, relatives, and couples will take on Bushtucker-style trials together and face elimination as a duo. The show is reportedly due to begin filming in Canada's Callaghan Valley, near Whistler Olympic Park, offering a rugged wilderness backdrop with wildlife including grizzly bears, black bears, and mountain lions.

According to The Sun, the long-time friends have signed lucrative deals to appear. A source said: "Bosses are delighted that Keith and Brian will be taking part, they'll each bring a lot of fun and mischief to the camp." The insider added that producers are excited by the new format, expecting it to generate buzz as famous duos battle it out together.

Celebrity Duos and Challenges

Contestants will tackle challenges as pairs, working together to win food and survive eliminations until one winning duo is crowned. Casting teams are aiming to secure a mix of celebrity friends, couples, and famous faces alongside non-famous relatives or partners. The main I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! series will continue to be filmed in Australia as normal later this year.

Brian McFadden already has a connection to the franchise through his ex-wife Kerry Katona, who won I'm A Celebrity in 2004. The Mirror has contacted ITV, Brian McFadden, and Keith Duffy for comment.
