Exclusive reports reveal that members of Donald Trump's exclusive Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, are conspiring to remove a fellow member from their ranks following her participation in a controversial Netflix reality series.
The Backlash Against Reality TV Exposure
According to sources speaking to Page Six, a faction of Mar-a-Lago's elite membership is actively planning to band together and sign a formal letter demanding the revocation of socialite Rosalyn Yellin's membership. The move comes as a direct response to Yellin's role in the Netflix show 'Members Only: Palm Beach', which was released on the streaming platform on 29 December.
The series, which follows a group of Florida socialites from both established and nouveau riche backgrounds as they vie for social supremacy, heavily featured Mar-a-Lago as the pinnacle of Palm Beach society. However, Netflix was notably not permitted to film inside the club's premises. Yellin's decision to associate the club with the programme has reportedly incensed other members.
'Cheesy' and Unrepresentative: Members Voice Disdain
The discontent stems from a perception that the show is "cheesy" and fails to accurately represent the true character of Palm Beach. One local resident dismissed the cast, who compete for the title 'Queen of Palm Beach', stating they were not well-known figures in the area.
Another critic took aim at the cast's appearance, labelling the series the "polar opposite of Palm Beach". A third source emphasised the show's aggressive tone and claimed, "not one of them lives in Palm Beach", arguing the participants do not represent the community.
Yellin's Defence and Charitable Work
In response to the growing controversy, Rosalyn Yellin issued a statement to Page Six defending her position. "I have been a member-in-good-standing at Mar-a-Lago for over four years," she stated, "and have spent that time focused on philanthropy and giving back through charity events held at the club."
She expressed disappointment that the show had been "mischaracterized in a way that distracts from the real work being done". Yellin, who frequently features the club on her Instagram—including a photo with former President Trump—is still scheduled to host a charity brunch at Mar-a-Lago in the near future.
The cast of 'Members Only: Palm Beach' also includes Hilary Musser, Taja Abitbol, Ro-mina Ustayev, and Maria Cozamanis. In related news, Cozamanis recently addressed her frequent emotional moments on the show, attributing them to a "perfect storm" of personal challenges and hormonal changes during filming.
