During the first commitment ceremony of the latest series of Married At First Sight UK, relationship expert Paul C Brunson unleashed fury on bride Sarah for what he deemed 'disrespectful' behaviour towards her husband Dean. The experts, including Charlene Douglas and Mel Schilling, watched via camera as Sarah openly discussed her lack of attraction to Dean at the previous dinner party.
Paul directly addressed Sarah, saying: 'You could begin by stopping the disrespect of your husband. Do you think you were rude while talking about your partner at the dinner party? I get the challenge around physical attraction. But where you absolutely lost me is when you went around gossiping about your husband to other people, and you were laughing at it!' He added that 'one iota of disrespect is too much'.
Sarah, who has repeatedly stated her preference for a 'bad boy with tattoos'—the opposite of Dean—broke down in tears and apologised, saying there was 'no excuse' for her comments. Dean admitted the disrespect was his 'biggest red flag' and that it hurt him, but the couple chose to stay together.
Paul explained that the experts aim to help participants grow and will call out bad behaviour, encouraging them to hold the experts accountable if they disagree. The ceremony also saw Keye appear alone after his partner Davide left a heartfelt note expressing his desire to remain in the experiment.
