MAFS Australia Groom's 'Arrest' Vow Leaves Bride in Tears

A Married at First Sight Australia bride was reduced to tears after her groom joked about being arrested during his wedding vows. The scene aired on E4 as part of the show's 13th series, which follows new couples meeting for the first time at the altar.

Bec, a 35-year-old account manager, was paired with Danny, a 34-year-old businessman originally from the UK. The couple appeared happy upon meeting, but Bec was visibly upset when Danny said in his vows: 'I'm looking for a Bonnie and Clyde type of love. With that being said, if I ever get locked up in prison, I'd like you to bail me out.'

Bec later told cameras: 'I want to be matched with someone that's serious about being with their forever person, not someone that's out getting hammered, acting a fool to the point of getting arrested.' She broke down in tears, adding: 'I just want something serious. I don't want to be with anyone that gets arrested.'

After seeing a different side to Danny during the reception, Bec apologised and the couple shared a passionate kiss. Married at First Sight Australia airs Monday to Thursday on E4 at 7.30pm.
