A bride on the latest season of Married At First Sight USA has become the first participant in the show's history to announce a pregnancy just weeks into the experiment. Meghann Turner, who married Derrek Wiedeman at the start of the series, revealed the news during the ninth episode, which originally aired in the US in October 2025.
The couple, who appeared to develop a physical connection during their honeymoon, shared the unexpected development with viewers. Derrek described the news as 'pretty crazy' and 'miraculous', while Meghann emphasised that they 'were not trying' to conceive. The revelation has stunned fans, as the pair are still in the early stages of their relationship.
Derrek expressed that the pregnancy changed 'pretty much everything', and Meghann admitted they were 'shocked, scared and happy all at once'. The couple decided to keep the news private from the other participants until Meghann could have her first doctor's appointment, including an ultrasound, which was scheduled for a few weeks later.
The UK premiere of season 19 airs on E4 on Monday 18th May at 8pm, with new episodes broadcast Monday to Friday. The series features experts Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr Pepper Schwartz, and Dr Pia Holec, who matched the couple.
