Married At First Sight Australia couple Joel Moses and Juliette Chae have revealed an unaired date night that explains their sudden turnaround from constant bickering to romantic chemistry. The pair, who had clashed since their wedding day, went pub crawling on a Friday night that was not filmed by the show's camera crew.
Juliette, 27, told Daily Mail Australia that the date involved visiting four different pubs and led to their first passionate kiss. 'It was giddy and excited and silly, and that's what you missed out seeing – that side of us,' she said. Joel, 31, confirmed the account, adding that they returned to their apartment and 'were hooking up a bit and getting a bit closer.'
The couple had originally planned the date before a tense dinner party but decided to proceed despite the awkwardness. Two days later, they had another date night watching movies, which further improved their connection. By the time of the couple's retreat, they were cuddling and kissing, leaving other cast members confused.
Joel admitted 'things were getting better' after that weekend, and Juliette agreed, saying they were 'connecting really well.' The revelation comes after weeks of on-screen conflict, where Juliette had called Joel 'embarrassing' and a 'liar,' and confessed she found him 'unattractive.'
