Married At First Sight Australia star Gia Fleur has launched a scathing attack on the show's producers, accusing them of 'controlling' the cast and deliberately creating drama. The 35-year-old bride, known for her fiery temper, claimed in a diary-cam video that producers use 'underhand tactics' and 'manipulative tasks' to break couples up.
In the clip shared with Daily Mail Australia, Fleur said: 'I'm losing my mind. This experiment is like Drama at First Sight. It's not Married at First Sight.' She alleged that producers deliberately separated her from her husband Scott for hours during a task to amp up her anxiety, while he met with another bride.
Fleur also claimed that producers only showed her 'stirring the pot' rather than airing scenes that portrayed her in a better light, causing viewers to turn on her. She said: 'You don't know behind the scenes how much we get told to do that and how much our love story isn't that important.'
The former Playboy bunny further alleged that she was partnered with Danny as a set-up by producers, who knew things would kick off between them. She rejected the offer to go on a date with him, wanting to avoid being a 'player in their game'.
Fleur added: 'I'm either being controlled, told what to do, told when to eat, told when I can go out for a walk, told when I can see my husband. Be in love, but not too in love that you're boring.' She insisted that all participants are pushed to their limits to create chaos over genuine romantic connections.
