Fans of Married At First Sight Australia have slammed groom Steve after his wife Rebecca left the show in tears just minutes into the latest episode. The couple, who met at the altar, struggled during intimacy week as Steve showed little interest in Rebecca's efforts to dress up for him.
Steve told experts he felt 'very uncomfortable' with the idea and suggested Rebecca might have ulterior motives for joining the show. He later joked about not having an earpiece to feed him answers, prompting expert Alessandra Rampolla to accuse him of disrespect.
Other grooms criticised Steve's behaviour, with one saying a 50-year-old man should know how to treat a woman. After a failed reconciliation, Steve packed his bags and left, leaving viewers frustrated.
One fan on Reddit said: 'Rebecca deserves a lot better. What is this "so much for me" business?' Another added: 'Steve should just leave, he clearly doesn't fancy or want Rebecca. Stop wasting everyone's time.'
