Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon appears to have accidentally revealed a major spoiler about Sarah Platt's future on the soap. The actress, who plays Bethany Platt, posted an Instagram Story showing herself with co-star Tina O'Brien, who portrays Sarah.
Sarah's Current Ordeal
Sarah has endured a turbulent few weeks on the cobbles. Last month, she was taken into custody on suspicion of murdering Theo Silverton. Sarah had fatally attacked Theo in April, striking him with a metal pole atop scaffolding, sending him plummeting to the ground. She turned to Gary Windass to help conceal the crime, but despite her police officer boyfriend Kit Green's efforts, she was arrested.
Initially maintaining her innocence, the mounting evidence proved overwhelming, and DS Lisa Connor-Swain stated she had no option but to charge Sarah with murder. Sarah has since been remanded in custody, reports the Daily Star.
Fan Reaction to the Photo
On X, a fan shared the Instagram Story, writing: "Guess ar Sarah Lou gets out then x. Lucy Fallon – spoiling future corrie storylines since 2025." Social media users responded, with one commenting: "Sarah was never going to get done for it!" Another added: "Lucy Fallon what else can you tell us" with a crying emoji.
However, some fans suggested Lucy may not have revealed a spoiler, noting: "The prison set is only opposite there, above the cafe..." Another viewer proposed: "She's just taking a photo with Tina... they might not be in character yet lol."
Previous Spoiler Accusations
This isn't the first time Lucy has faced spoiler accusations. Last October, she posted a dressing room selfie displaying Amy Cudden's name – who plays Becky Swain – on a mirror. Dismissing suggestions she'd leaked Becky's villainous arrival, Lucy told The Sun: "Oh my god, yeah. Someone tagged me in a social post saying, 'Lucy Fallon comes back after having a baby and leaks the biggest storyline in Corrie'."
She continued: "I was like, 'What the hell are they talking about? What have I done?' But honestly, nobody would have known what character that name belonged to – it wasn't even a spoiler at that point." Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
