Fresh from her appearance on ITV's Love Island, Ellie Chadwick returned to Five Sisters Zoo this week for a special visit, catching up with friends, family and former colleagues at the attraction where she previously worked.
Bear Experience and Capybaras
Accompanied by Finley Maddock, Ellie enjoyed one of the zoo's popular Bear Experiences with resident bears Eso and Byara before heading over to meet popular capybaras Mocha and Clementine.
A spokesperson for Five Sisters Zoo said: "It was fantastic to welcome Ellie back to Five Sisters Zoo following her time on Love Island. It was great to see her catching up with friends, family and former colleagues, and we hope she and Finley had a fantastic day with our animals."
Relationship Updates
Earlier in the week, Love Island favourite Ellie revealed that she was taking Finley to Scotland to meet her loved ones. The West Lothian native said she was going to be bringing her Welsh counterpart back to her hometown where she hopes he and friends and family will become better acquainted.
The couple were guests on Love Island's 2026 final where host Maya Jama talked to contestants past and present about their whirlwind romances.
When asked how things were going between the pair, beaming Ellie revealed that "it's actually going really good". Finley echoed this, saying he "couldn't be happier".
Maya then asked what Ellie's friends thought of Finley after he was briefly paired with Elicia Bailley. While Finley seemed hesitant to answer, he happily explained how Ellie's pals were "warming" to him. He added that he's even had a few video calls with them.
Love Island Journey
Ellie's trip back to West Lothian with Finley cements their relationship as strong going after she decided to leave of her own accord during the series. Rather than staying in the villa after Finley got voted out, the real estate videographer decided to follow her heart and leave with him.
Following Finley's axe in a previous episode, Ellie declared "I'm going guys, I'm doing it," as tears streamed down her face.
At the time Ellie confirmed she was happy with her decision to go and said she had "found what she was looking for" in Finley.
As Finley asked Ellie if she was sure she wanted to leave the villa, she stated: "No one's going to come in, I'm not interested it would be a waste of my time."
Holding each other at the time, Finley added: "I'm really looking forward to the next phase," to which Ellie simply replied: "Me too."
Things weren't always rosy for the couple, which Love Island fans will know all too well. During the series, Finley briefly ended up with bombshell Elicia who decided to steal him in a recoupling. This resulted in a love triangle, with Finley and Elicia eventually enjoying a steamy kiss during a date. However Finley would end up calling things off with Elicia and eventually return to Ellie.
