While some islanders like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have leveraged their reality TV fame into lucrative careers, others have opted for a quieter life back in their original professions.
Dr Alex George, who appeared in the 2018 series, returned to his role as an NHS doctor at Lewisham Hospital and worked on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, he was appointed as the UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador within the Department for Education. Following the tragic death of his brother Llyr, he has focused on raising awareness for suicide prevention and recently celebrated one year of sobriety.
Greg O'Shea, winner of the 2019 series with Amber Gill, went back to professional rugby and represented Ireland in the 2021 Olympics. He also launched his own online fitness brand. Georgia Townend, who was in the villa for just 24 hours in 2021, returned to her job at Lidl, posting a photo of herself at work on Instagram.
Priya, a bombshell in 2021, completed her medical studies and became a doctor in March 2023. Paige, a 2022 contestant, attempted to return to her paramedic role but was told by her employer that she could not due to posting bikini photos online. Rachel, from series two, went back to work as an orthopaedic practitioner and shared a photo receiving her Covid vaccine after battling the virus twice.

Malin, from series two, went back to her role as an elderly and palliative carer during the pandemic. She gave birth to a baby girl in 2022 after previously losing her daughter Consy shortly after birth.
