Love Island star Namibia has branded fellow Islander Tommy Murphy a "clout chaser" after he recorded a private exchange and posted it online, escalating tensions as the series finale approaches.
The Love Island finale airs tonight (July 27) with one couple set to be crowned 2026 champions. Over the weekend, the franchise aired its final Aftersun episode, featuring a panel and chats with ex-Islanders.
The Aftersun Confrontation
Tommy had earlier filmed Tina opening a voice note from Namibia, which addressed apparent tension between them. Unbeknownst to Tina and Namibia, Tommy recorded the exchange in a taxi and uploaded the footage online. Strains had been escalating after remarks made online following their villa departure.
On Aftersun, host Maya Jama teased Tommy: "You did expose a little video of her (Tina)," before asking Namibia about their current relationship. Namibia retorted: "This little clout chaser, pot stirrer..." Tommy interjected: "Listen, you two were having beef." Namibia responded: "You're not production, you didn't need to record that." Tommy quipped: "This is natural content."
Resolution and Fan Reactions
Namibia continued: "As I was saying to Maya, we've squashed it, we went to an event the other day and we've spoke. I explained my side, she explained her side and yeah, we've squashed it." Maya asked: "But he's just being messy?" Tommy defended: "No, no, I'm in a taxi right now minding my own business and these two are beefing." Namibia countered: "So mind your business, why did you record it?" Tommy replied: "You should've done it in private, you were disturbing my peace."
The exchange amused fans, with one Instagram user saying: "Wish we'd seen more of Mibs in the villa - she's a laugh." Another wrote: "I love mibs," while a third commented: "'So mind your business' go on Mibs!" A fourth joked: "Tommy is trying to take over from Messy Mitch." A fifth added: "Mibs... gone too soon i fear i love her."
