Love Island's Alex Miller Claims Producers Helped Him Win Over Megan Barton Hanson

Former Love Island contestant Alex Miller has revealed that show producers gave him advice on how to win over Megan Barton Hanson during his time on the ITV dating show in 2018. The 33-year-old structural glazier entered the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell and initially struggled to attract Megan's attention.

In a recent interview, Alex claimed that producers pulled him aside and told him his 'A game wasn't good enough', prompting him to change his approach. He then told Megan directly that he was keen, which led to her dumping Wes Nelson for him. Alex admitted that seeing Wes for the first time was 'a tad awkward' but added that he thought 'dry your eyes mate' as Wes had only been with Megan for a few days.

However, the romance was short-lived. When the original Islanders returned, Alex felt like an 'intruder', and Wes eventually chose Megan in a recoupling, sending Alex home. Alex still wonders who Megan would have chosen if she had been allowed to decide for herself, though he insists he would have picked a single girl if given a second chance.

Wes and Megan finished fourth on the show but split shortly after, with Megan claiming that Wes prioritised his finances and music career over their relationship. Despite the breakup, Megan has said she still holds a place for Wes in her heart.
